Greg Hull

Greg is an Installation Artist and Sculptor, originally from Richmond,  Indiana. 

He is the Dean of Herron School of Art and Design, IUPUI
and also serves as a Commissioner on the Indiana Arts Commission.

Professor Hull is the Valerie Eickmeier Professor in Sculpture and has been a member of Herron’s Sculpture faculty since 1999. Pedagogically, he works to integrate traditional and emerging materials and technologies and embraces community and socially engaged practices.

As an artist, Greg's work largely focuses on public art and installations that incorporate interactive, kinetic, and time-based media including light, sound, and video. He has created temporary and permanent installations for institutions and communities across the country. His current research, in collaboration with an Art Therapist and Neurologist, utilizes technology to develop tools and methods that contribute to healing and the quality of life for patients and families navigating neurodegenerative diseases within the healthcare system.

He received a Master of Fine Arts degree in Sculpture from University of Delaware   and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Sculpture from the
Kansas City Art Institute.
